Warm Turmeric Cinnamon Milk is all kinds of amazing!

If you’re anything like me, then you understand the meaning of thought overload, and possibly even suffer from sleepless nights due to insomnia as well. Right? Yea, I know, it sucks. But, after seeking out natural remedies, I stumbled upon a recipe for Warm Turmeric Cinnamon Milk and I’m in love! It actually helps you to just chill, calm your loud ass mind and actually get some much needed zzz’s!

What is Turmeric Milk?

Well aside from it being my new favorite thing, Turmeric is an Ayurvedic drink that is known to boost your health and vitality.

It is usually taken at night to promote sleep and heal an array of ailments including common colds, sore throat, indigestion, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, menstrual cramps, headaches and arthritis.

It also fights cancers like that of the breast, liver, colon and prostate, relieves depression, promotes digestive health, detoxifies the liver, purifies blood, boosts circulation, accelerates wound-healing, relieves pain, protects against cardiovascular disease and helps with neurological disorders.

OMG the benefits of warm turmeric cinnamon milk are seriously amazing. After doing a little more research, I’ve learned that you can even begin to take Turmeric pills, and it helps with so many things.  Here are a few of the turmeric benefits that I’m stoked about:

Ingredients For Turmeric Milk

Okay so, here are the ingredients that you will need to make Turmeric Cinnamon Milk:

Δ 1 can of coconut milk (i use this one)
Δ 2-3 teaspoons of turmeric
Δ 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Δ A few sprinkles of black pepper
Δ 1/4 fresh ginger, peeled
Δ Pinch of cayenne pepper

5 Minutes Turmeric cinnamon milk

† Directions: Blend all ingredients except honey into your blender. (I love the Nutribullet). Pour mixture into a sauce pan and heat over low to medium heat for about 5 minutes until it’s piping hot, but not boiling. Add a tablespoon (or more to your liking) to the mix right before you drink. Bundle up in your bed, or favorite chair, chill and enjoy a huge cup of warm turmeric cinnamon milk. So yummmy!
